Friends and neighbors,

Exciting news from the State Capitol - House DFL and GOP leadership have reached an agreement to co-govern for the next two years.

Under the new agreement, Republicans will lead until the March 11th Roseville special election brings us to a 67-67 tie. Then we shift to equal committee representation with co-chairs across the board.

While part of the agreement is that Lisa Demuth will hold the Speaker's gavel for the next two years, let me be crystal clear about our victory: we successfully blocked the attempt by the GOP to overturn legitimate election results. Rep. Brad Tabke will serve the term he rightfully won, proving that in Minnesota, voters - not politicians - decide elections.

Make no mistake: we're staying vigilant. Any attempts to undermine our democratic principles - whether from Trump or Minnesota Republicans - will meet firm resistance. This isn't just a promise; it's our fundamental duty to you.

Though bipartisanship feels like a far cry on a national stage, Minnesota knows what real bipartisanship looks like. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues across the aisle to deliver for Minnesota.

As I head to Saint Paul, my sincere thanks to every community leader, advocate, and constituent who shared their priorities. Your voices drive our legislative agenda forward.
