MINUTES

Representative Scott, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:19 AM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 6th, 2025, in Room G3 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Curran moved the minutes of March 4th, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 1233 (Zeleznikar): Women's athletics exemption created in the Human Rights Act.

Chair Scott moved HF 1233 before the committee.

Chair Scott moved that HF 1233 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Chair Scott moved the A1 amendment before the committee. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Amanda Scherping, Dean of Students, testified in favor of HF 1233, as amended.

Renee Carlson, General Counsel, True North Legal, testified in favor of HF 1233, as amended.

Chair Scott renewed the motion that HF 1233 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. Lead Liebling requested a roll call. The result is as follows:
